  2. Mangalore is the chief port city of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located about 350 kilometres (220 mi) west of the state capital, Bangalore. Mangalore is an important business and commercial center and the major port of Karnatka for the export of coffee, spices and cashew nuts.

    There are many temples to visit in Mangalore. Kudroli Gokarnath Temple is situated 3km away from main city area. Recently, this temple has been renovated and now a tourist attraction in Mangalore. Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple is another ancient historic spot in Mangalore. The Kadri Temple dates back to about 1068 A.D. and sits at the foot of the highest hill in Mangalore.
