Greenland

Greenland is the world’s biggest island. This large and impressive island with its rugged terrain and wild scenery is surrounded by sea which is permanently frozen or chilled by the mainly cold currents. In the center of the country, ice can be up to 3km (2 miles) thick, therefore most of its population huddle around the ice-free coastal region.

The Disko Bay region and South Greenland are the most visited places and offer the widest selection of tours. The region may be seen on foot, by boat, by plane, by helicopter or by dog sledge according to the season and the terrain.
