  2. Rab is an island and a town of the same name located just off the northern Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea, today in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. The northeastern side of the island is mostly barren, while the southwestern side is covered by one of the last oak forests of the Mediterranean. Apart from the city of Rab, other prominent settlements on the island are: Lopar, Kampor, Supetarska Draga, Banjol, Brbat.

    Rab is rich with cultural heritage and historical monuments. Today, medieval walls still stand, along with ancient churches, palaces, and stone streets that bear witness to Rab's rich history and long tradition of beauty.

    The island is nowadays very popular with tourists and families for its beautiful coves and bays, beaches, and its many events, particularly the Rab arbalest tournament and Rab Medieval festival -Rapska Fjera.

    Port Location – The port is located Rab town, adjacent to the city centre.

    Travel Links – It's easy to stop in Rab if you're island-hopping in the northern Adriatic. There are a number of car ferries between Baska on Krk Island and Loper but they only operate between June and September. Otherwise, there's a daily catamaran all year from Rijeka to Rab, going on to Novalja on Pag Island.
    You can also catch one of the two daily buses from Rijeka to Rab.
