  1. Port Overview

  1. Dutch Harbour, Unalaska, Alaska

  2. Dutch Harbour is located on Amaknak Island and is connected by bridge to the small city of Unalaska, in the Aleutian Islands off mainland Alaska. Fascinating WWII ruins can be found on this small island, as well as the oldest Russian Orthodox Church in North America and the most breathtaking sea life in the world. One of the United State’s most productive commercial fishing ports, Unalaska’s Port of Dutch Harbour harvests phenomenal amounts of seafood from the Bering Sea and distributes it throughout the world.

Wildlife viewing is usually done from the water in this area of the Aleutian Chain. At Priest Rock, along North Shore it’s possible to view Steller sea lions, killer whales, grey whales, seals, sea otters and porpoises.
