  2. Marbella is a beach resort of the Costa del Sol, Spain. The town is famous for being a playground for the famous and super-rich. Marbella is internationally recognised as a favourite destination for extremely wealthy tourists from Northern Europe, in particular the UK, Ireland and Germany. The area around Marbella is particularly popular with those who like Golf.

    Once a walled city, Marbella now has immaculate streets, beautifully landscaped squares and (everywhere you go) an overpowering scent of orange blossoms. Glittering boutiques filled with European designer clothing, jewelry, and shoes, entice shoppers. Marbella’s beaches are a major tourist attraction.

    Port Location – The Port is located at Puerto Banus approximately 6km from Marbella.

    Travel Links – Malaga Airport is serviced by most European carriers, otherwise fly in to Gibraltar, both airports are around 30 minutes drive from Marbella centre.

    There are high quality regular bus services along the length of the Costa. Although cheap, the buses can run to their own timetable and are often very busy in summer.

    There is a train service between Fuengirola and Malaga, which is due to be extended to run further down the coast to Marbella in the near future.
