  1. Port Overview

  1. Fowey, England

  2. Fowey is a small fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, situated at the mouth of the river Fowey. It is set on a hill, so be prepared for much walking up and down. There are many pubs and restaurants. The place comes alive in the summer, and the Fowey Regatta in mid August attracts many yachts and sailing boats.

Fowey has a strong Celtic connection, maritime history, many wonderful gardens and literary involvement with the Daphne du Maurier festival held annually in May. There are many historic buildings in the town, including the ruins of St Catherine's Castle, while Readymoney Cove possesses a local beach. The Eden Project is located just 10 miles from Fowey.
