  1. Port Overview

  1. Tristan da Cunha, United Kingdom

  2. Tristan da Cunha is the only inhabited island in an archipelago situated 2000 kms from St Helena and 2800 kms from the nearest mainland Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. It is considered to be "the remotest island in the world". Tristan rises out of the ocean, it's volcanic peak crowned with an almost permanent cap of white cloud.

A visit to Tristan da Cunha is very difficult as there are no flight services and only one passenger ship visits once a year. Permission to visit the island is also required from the
    island administrator.
