  2. Giglio is an island in the Tuscan archipelago, situated in the centre of the Tyrrhenian sea, Italy. Holidaymakers are attracted to its crystal emerald sea rich in sealife and its mild climate. Giglio’s port is a picturesque dock surrounded by high grounds full of vineyards.

    The island offers a 28 kms coastline which varies from granite cliffs to sandy beaches with beautiful quiet waters . The wind blowing from the south at the bay of Campese makes it an ideal place for people keen on surf and sailing, while the west exposure allows for views of marvelous sunsets .

    In short the Giglio is a real treasure to be discovered and the ideal place for nature lovers who appreciate the country environment , the sea, the walks and the bird-watching.

    Port Location - The main port is located Giglio Porto, a lovely town overlooking a bay and enclosed by hills behind it cultivated with vineyards. The secondary port is Giglio Campese.

    Travel Links – Giglio is connected to Tuscany by ferries starting from Porto Santo Stefano and Orbetello Scalo. There are daily boat trips during summer months and only three trips per week during the rest of the year.
