  2. Maloy is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Vågsøy in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Måløy is located on the south-eastern side of the island of Vågsøy, which the municipality is named after, and is connected to the mainland by the bridge Måløybrua. It is one of the most important fishing ports in the region.

    Maloy is a lively coastal town with most of its business tied to fishing. In the immediate vicinity of the town centre is Vestkapp, Norway’s western most point and the island of Selje with its beautiful ruins and fantastic countryside. Briksdalsbreen glacier is worth a visit.

    Travel Links – There are daily boats from Måløy-Florø-Bergen by expressboat, Måløy-Bergen, Måløy-Ålesund by coastal liner and daily Måløy-Florø by coastal express.

    The nearest airports to Maloy are:
    Sandane (Anda) – Widerøe - about 1 hour by car. (Måløy Taxi arrange package tours).
    Florø – DAT - about 1 hour by boat, 2,5 hours by car.
    Ålesund (Vigra) – Braathens/Norwegian - about 3 hours by car (Car, express boat via Hareid about 2.5 hours).

    There are daily buses from Oslo-Måløy - about 11 hours, Måløy-Otta - about 6,5 hours, Måløy-Bergen - about 10 hours, Måløy-Sogndal - about 4 hours (except Sat./Sund.) and Måløy-Ålesund - about 4 hours.

    The nearest train station is at Otta (290 km) about 6,5 hours by bus, about 5 hours by private car.
