  1. Port Overview

  1. Bimini Island, Bahamas

  2. Bimini is a district of the Bahamas located 50-miles east of Florida surrounded by shallow reefs near shore. Bimini has three main islands: North, South and East Bimini. North Bimini is an island of only 1600 residents. North Bimini is long, flat, and narrow. South Bimini houses an airstrip, and offers a quiet alternative to the slow bustle of North Bimini. There is a small community of homes on South Bimini known as Port Royale.

Bimini offers many great opportunities for scuba divers and snorkelers. The S.S. Sapona known for being a liquor store during prohibition, is one of the Carribbean’s best shallow water wreck sites. Visitors can also interact with wild Atlantic dolphins, go kayaking or hiking on the South Bimini local nature trail. The waters surrounding the Bimini Islands are also known the world over for top big-game fishing. Fishing tournaments reign supreme almost every weekend.
