  1. Port Overview

  1. Tremiti Islands, Italy

  2. The Tremiti Islands are an isolated Archipelago located off Italy in the Adriatic Sea. They are situated north of the Gargano Peninsula and form part of the Gargano national park. The islands can be classified as arid or semi-arid limestone bluffs broken up by sections of heavily wooded land. Each island is extremely small and the largest of these can be crossed on foot in a matter of less than two hours.

San Domino is the most developed island and features the only sand beach in the archipelago. San Nicola is the island where the major part of the population resides. Capraia (or Capperaia) is deserted, it forms part of the national park. Cretaccio is in fact, a major block of clay, and thus uninhabited. Pianosa is also an uninhabited island.
