  1. Port Overview

  1. Saint Pierre, Ile de la Reunion

  2. Saint-Pierre is the third-largest commune in the French overseas department of Réunion. It is located on the southwest side of the island of Réunion.

The harbour and beach make Saint-Pierre on the south coast, a genuine seaside resort. Here mountain slope gently towards the lush inland countryside. The greatest attractions of the South are the wild coast and forests. After the small town of Saint-Philippe, the National Road cuts through Grand Brule (Great Burnt Land), whose slopes have been scarred by successive lava flows since the dawn of time. The whole region has a strange atmosphere about it, due perhaps to the fact that no dwellings can be seen for about thirty kilometers.
