  1. Port Overview

  1. Topolobampo, Mexico

  2. Topolobampo is the port for the city of Los Mochis. A large shrimping fleet is stationed here and the deep harbor is ideal for commercial fishing. Although these industries are significant, they pale by comparison to the region¡s most important attraction, the spectacular Copper Canyon. This scenic chasm is four times the size of the Grand Canyon, sculpted by the on-going process of erosion, 60 million years into its seemingly immortal lifespan. The Canyon's world-renown train ride covers the entire spectrum of terrain with 39 bridges and 87 tunnels, ending at an elevation of 8,000 feet above the sparkling Sea of Cortez.
