  1. Port-Saint-Louis-Du-Rhone, France

  2. Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhone is a town and commune of the Bouches-du-Rhone department in southern France in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.

The commune was created in 1904 from Arles and Fos-sur-Mer on which its history is dependent. The Saint-Louis channel was dug in 1871. The parish was established in 1886.

It is an industrial town and port annex of Marseille at the mouth of the Rhone River and includes many parks, large avenues and large farmhouses known as camarguais.

The town has three popular beaches: Napoleon beach, Olga beach and Carteau beach. Add to this the magnificent weather in the warmer months and Port St. Louis du Rhone is a tourist's paradise.

For many years, sailing and water sports have boomed at Port St. Louis du Rhone, thanks to high-quality infrastructure and its location is ideal, being midway between Italy and Spain. It has 6 floating ports and two dry ports, offering all the services: construction, repair, maintenance, supplies and provides a capacity for 4400 boats. Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhone has long affirmed its maritime tradition with fishermen and sailors from all backgrounds.

The ports are located 1 kilometre from the city centre.

The Camargue region produces primarily salt and mineral oil. There are also petrochemical factories and grain mills.

While cruises are available year round the main season is from March to October to take advantage of the longer days and warmer weather. Weather during the cruise season is warm to hot and the days are long and generally sunny. Most rain in the region falls in the winter months.
