  2. Santa Fe island is a small island belonging to the Galapagos archipelago, located to the south east of Santa Cruz island. It is one of the oldest of the islands; volcanic rocks dating back four millions years have been found here.

    Visitors to Santa Fe island can walk the loop trail which leads to a prickly pear cactus forest and stunning views of the cove beneath the summit. There are opportunities to snorkel with playful seal lion pups and colorful fish.

    Transport Links – Flights to the Galapagos are relatively easy to arrange and depart from Quito and Guayaquil on a daily basis for the Isla Baltra airport, about two hours by public transport from Puerto Ayora, the main settlement of the Galapagos, on the central island of Santa Cruz.
