  2. The Waya islands include Waya, Wayasewa (or Wayalailai) and are located in the Yasawa group of islands, in north-western Fiji. The two islands are joined by an 80 metre sandy spit which can be crossed at low tide. The islands are famous for their beautiful white sandy beaches, lush tropical rainforests and spectacular mountain-top views of the Yasawa Islands.

    There are a wide variety of activities on offer on the islands. Guided trekking, beach snorkeling and boat snorkeling trips to the reef, village trips, sunset sailing, fishing and picnic-beach boat trips.

    Port Location – Resorts around the islands have their own areas for mooring boats.

    Transport Links – Awesome Adventures Fiji provide the Yasawa Flyer as the primary transport to and through the Yasawa Islands from Nadi. The trip takes about 2 hours.

    Another means of travel is Turtle Airways, which offers special rates for budget travelers to the Yasawas. Flights leave for the Yasawas daily, with the journey taking 30 minutes from Nadi to Nacula.

    Octopus Resort on Waya island has its own transfer vessel, the Amberley, a 35 ft purpose built aluminum tri-hull water taxi. The Amberley departs daily from Lautoka at 10am and takes approximately 90 minutes to reach the resort.
