  1. Rennell Island, Solomon Islands

  2. Rennell Island is the largest island of Rennell and Bellona Province, Solomon Islands. It is almost totally surrounded by 120-150m cliffs and is comprised primarily of raised coral limestone, with the eastern end dominated by a freshwater lake, Lake Tegano. The western end of the island is relatively flat from the northern to southern coasts with rolling hills.

Rennell is the largest raised coral atoll in the world. Lake Te Nggano is the largest freshwater lake in the Pacific Ocean, and it is now listed as a World Heritage Site. There is a bomber submerged in the lake which is interesting to explore whilst snorkeling.
