The island village of Bella Bella is located on the famous “Inside Passage” on Campbell Island, north of Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, in the Central Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the Heiltsuk First Nation and is the largest community to be found on the Central Coast north of Queen Charlotte Strait.
As the centre of Heiltsuk native culture, Archaeologists have discovered native middens dating back some 9,000 years at Namu, one of the most ancient sites of human habitation on the northwest coast.
The area is popular for wildlife viewing and sea kayaking. The scenery along the Dean Channel between Bella Bella and Bella Coola is spectacular and the Eucott Bay hot springs is worth a visit. The Fiordland and the Hakai Provincial Recreation Areas are popular with sea kayakers and divers.

Port Location – There is a dock located 3 km’s south of Bella Bella at McLoughlin Bay.
Transport Links – There is an air link from Vancouver via Port Hardy by to Bella Bella. There are scheduled flights from Bella Bella Airport (ZEL) onward to Klemtu and Ocean Falls.
The BC Ferries' Discovery Coast Passage Route, provide a scheduled service out of Port Hardy on Vancouver Island to Namu, McLoughlin Bay (Bella Bella), Shearwater, Klemtu, Ocean Falls and Bella Coola.
