Salinas, Ecuador

Salinas is a coastal city located in Santa Elena Province, Ecuador. It is situated 124 km from Guayaquil, and is considered the best tourist beach resort in Ecuador and the Pacific coastline.

Beaches near Salinas include San Lorenzo, Las Palmeras, Chipipe, Mar Bravo, and Punta Carnero. Popular tourist activities in Salinas include game fishing, wake-boarding, water skiing, yachting, sky diving, and sunbathing. The city offers a number of restaurants and cafes on its boardwalk, as well as artisan craft markets. A small naval archeological museum with artifacts from pre-Columbian Ecuador is also in Salinas.
