Bol, Brac Island, Croatia

Bol is a town located on the southern side of the island of Brac in the Adriatic Sea, Croatia. Brac is the third largest island in the Adriatic, and thus the largest in Dalmatia. Bol is the oldest town on the island of Brac. It is a very popular tourist destination and has a number of harbourside bars and restaurants.

Bol is renowned for its most popular beach, the Zlatni rat ("Golden cape"). The water is crystal clear and there are spectacular pine trees that grow down the middle of Zlatni rat (there is a beach on either side of the horn). The Dominican Monastery and the Vidova Gora Mountain are also attractions in Bol.

Port Location – The port of Bol is located in the town centre. There is a mile long promenade which runs along the waterfront.

Travel Links – There are local buses from Supetar and fast boats from Split in summer.
Croatia Airlines has regular weekly flights from Zagreb to the Brac airport where a shuttle bus takes you to Bol.

There are at least a dozen car ferries a day from Split to Supetar (one hour) in summer, less at other times of year.

In summer, there are also regular Jadrolinija hydrofoils from Split to Bol making it easy to spend a day at the beach in Bol.
