  1. Port Overview

  1. Sciacca, Sicily

  2. A picturesque seaside town, built on rocky heights overlooking the Mediterranean, in the south-western coast of Sicily. Sciacca is a 30 minute drive east from Selinunte and its temples and less than an hour’s drive west from Agrigento.

Dating back to the Roman Empire, Sciacca was known for its spas which were part of daily life for both men and women. Above the city there are caves in Mount Kronion with steamy grottoes, used in the treatment of ailments.

A historic fishing port, Sciacca is best known today for its numerous artisan shops, which specialise in ceramic ware, thermal spa complex, rich religious traditions which are still maintained, such as religious processions and the old carnival and its fishing fleet. The beautiful main beaches are located on either side of the city.
