  2. Delos is a small, isolated, rocky island in the centre of the Cyclades, near Mykonos, Greece. According to Greek mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis and the hub of Aegean culture for over a millennium.

    Today Delos is an uninhabited open air museum, boasting the most extensive ruin sites anywhere in the world. The entire island is strewn with sections of walls and marble fragments.

    Visitors to Delos are only permitted to explore for four hours before returning by boat to Mykonos.

    Port Location – Delos can be accessed by boat from Mykonos, located 2 – 3km’s away.

    Transport Links – Regular (mostly daily) flights from Athens to the Cyclades are operated by Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines. Paros, Santorini and Naxos can also be reached by other European airports or by helicopter.

    Ferries are available from Athens to Paros, the biggest ferry hub within the Cyclades which has links to many islands. From Paros two main routes take tourists towards Mykonos or Santorini and Crete.
