  2. Sorrento is a popular tourist destination in Campania, Italy. It is located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Sorrento lies on a Tufa terrace and is enclosed by impressive rocks of the limestone mountains.

    Sorrento is very popular as a starting point to all the important surrounding sights. These include Capri, Ischia and Procida which can be easily reached from the Harbor Marina Piccola. Pompeii and Herkulaneum can also be accessed by rail from Sorrento.

Ferry boats and hydrofoils provide services to Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Ischia.
