Copacabana

Copacabana is a beach located in the Zona Sul (South Zone) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is known for its 4 km balneario beach, which is one of the most famous in the world. There are historic forts at both ends of Copacabana and hotels, bars, restaurants and nightclubs dot the promenade.

Ferries (barcas) connect neighbouring Niteroi to Rio de Janeiro and arrive at Praça XV, in the city centre.
