  2. Milan is the secong largest city in Italy and is one of the worlds fashion capitals and shopping centres. Walk along the Via Montenapoleone or visit the Galeria Vittorio Emanuele in the Piazza Duomo to see many of the famous fashion houses.

    Its attractions include the Milan Duomo Cathedral, the Castello Sforzeco fortress and of course the world famous Teatro alla Scala Opera House. Leonardo da Vinci's painting 'The Last Supper' is in the Santa Maria delle Grazie church

    Transport Links - The Malpensa airport handles almost all international flights. Train lines from Stazione Central in the city centre run to all parts of Italy and Europe.

    Most of the sights are within walking distance of one another. There is an excellent bus network and local railway. If you prefer to be driven around there are plenty of taxis, although these can prove an expensive way to travel. You can also hire scooters and bicycles.
