  1. Port Overview

  1. Girolata, (Corsica), France

  2. Girolata is located on the island of Corsica, an island and region of France in the Mediterranean Sea, southeast of France and west of Italy. It is a tiny fishing village located about 30 km north of Porto, with a short stretch of stony beach, a few houses on the cliffs and a Genoese fort. It is surrounded by turquoise water and is connected to the rest of the island by a mule track.

Ajaccio is the island’s capital and is best known as the birthplace of Napolean. Attractions in Ajaccio include the old section, its beaches and open air markets. The Citadel is worth a visit, as is the Place d’Austerlitz; a monument to Napolean which offers excellent views over the downtown area.
