  1. Port Overview

  1. Amed, Bali

  2. Amed is located in the northeast of the island of Bali, Indonesia. It is not just one village but a string of smaller villages located on a 10km road in the Karangasem province. It starts with the village Amed in the north followed by Congkang, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Banyuning and ending with Aas. Every bay is different, some shingle, some rocky and some sandy, with Bali's best diving right off the beach. In one bay there's a Japanese WWII patrol boat just 10m off the shore.

Amed is famous for its beaches, lined with traditional outrigger fishing boats. There is quite coarse black volcanic sand at Amed village beach. The prettiest bays are probably those at Jemeluk and Lipah but the whole stretch of coastline is very attractive.
