Banjarmasin (Indonesia)

Banjarmasin is the capital of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is located on a delta island near the junction of the Barito and Martapura rivers. As a result, Banjarmasin is sometimes called the "River City". The main attractions are the waterlogged suburbs traversed by canals; much of the city's commerce takes place on water at the city's floating markets.

The Kalimantan area is unique for trekking and expeditions through the connected trails that lead you through the virgin forests.
