Monfalcone, Italy

Monfalcone is a town and comune of the located on the coast of the Gulf of Trieste. The town lies between the Carso hills and the Adriatic Sea, being the northernmost port of the Mediterranean Sea.

Monfalcone is an historical town with a rich history, dating back to prehistoric town. A popular attraction is Rocca, a medieval castle rebuilt in the 16th century. It is also a busy industrial centre, which is known for its shipyards, steel and ironworks.
