Located in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of Florida, Sarasota is an area known for its cultural and environmental amenities, beaches resorts and connections to the Ringling family.

The city has a metropolitan flavour unique to cities of its size. The beautiful beaches are a draw to the area, with Siesta Key Beach ranked consistently among the beautiful beaches on Earth. Sarasota beaches are the winner of the “World's finest, whitest sand”.

Sarasota city includes mainland downtown as well as three islands called “keys”. Longboat Key, Lido Key, and Siesta Key are all very picturesque and causeways to all of the keys are free. Downtown Saratosa is vibrant and includes a healthy mix of businesses, restaurants, residences and city services.
