  2. Milford Sound is a fjord, within Fiordland National Park in the south west of New Zealand's South Island. It is a Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site and has been acclaimed as New Zealand's most famous tourist destination. The grandeur of its waterfalls, mountain peaks and sheer rock faces attracts visitors from all over the world.
