  2. Alicante is the capital of the province of Alicante, located in the Valencia region of Spain. It is an historic Mediterranean port ranking as the eighth-largest metropolitan area of Spain. It is also one of the fastest-growing cities in Spain, famous for its excellent weather and as a starting point for tourists to the Costa Blanca coast.

With many historical buildings around the entire city, Alicante offers countless sightseeing attractions, from cathedrals to churches and of course a wonderful harbor area. Along the harbor there are beautiful long alleys for nice relaxing walks, enjoying the palm trees and the mild climate.
