  1. Port Overview

  1. Elba, Italy

  2. Elba is an island in Tuscany, Italy, 20 km from the coastal town of Piombino. It is the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, and the third largest island in Italy after Sicily and Sardinia. Elba and the other islands (Gorgona, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo, Giglio and Giannutri) of the Tuscan Archipelago are protected in the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago. The island is divided into eight comunes: Portoferraio, Campo nell'Elba, Capoliveri, Marciana, Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina and Rio nell'Elba.

Elba is chiefly known as the place where Napoleon was sent for his final exile. However, Elba also offers wonderful beaches, magnificent cliffs, luxuriant hills with sweet-smelling flowers, woods with age-old trees and little villages looking out over the sea or situated on the ridges. Spend a little time in the capital Portiferraio, a delightful town full of pretty pink buildings.

The island is a paradise for all lovers of nature sports; mountain biking, trekking, skindiving, fishing windsurfing, sailing, hang-gliding, free-climbing, bush walking and golf.
