  1. Port Overview

  1. Tahaa, French Polynesia

  2. Tahaa is the ‘sister’ island to nearby Raiatea, located in the Society Islands in French Polynesia. The two islands are enclosed by the same coral reef and may have once been a single island.Tahaa has a few beaches on its picturesque shorelines, but not many. Most of the beaches that are to be enjoyed on these islands take the form of deserted little outer-lying islands known as Motus.

Tahaa’s beautiful blue lagoon is rich in sealife and there is a variety of watersports on offer, such as scubadiving, windsurfing, and outrigger canoeing. The surrounding waters of both islands are also known the world over for their legendary sailing, yachting, and sport fishing opportunities.

Tahaa's nickname is the "Vanilla Island" - because of its constant rich aroma of vanilla. In fact, the island boasts a full 80% of all Tahiti's vanilla production. Both islands have many pearl farms, known for pearls of superb quality, high aesthetic appeal and value.
