  2. Bahía Concepción is one of the largest bays of Baja California. Lying on the Sea of Cortez, and less than 20 miles south of Mulegé, Bahía Concepción features over 50 miles of beaches. Some of the more popular beaches include (from north to south) Playa Los Naranjos, Playa Punta Arena, Playa Santispac, Playa Escondida, Playa Los Cocos, Playa El Coyote, Playa Buenaventure, Playa El Requeson, Playa Armenta.

    Bahía Concepción features cystal clear azure water which is popular with lovers of water sports. Nearby Mulege offers a regional museum and mission church to visit, the banks of the river estuary and the beach at El Sombrerito.

    Port Location – Bahia Concepcion can be accessed from the port of Santa Rosalia, approximately 60 miles from Bahia Concepcion.

    Travel Links – Most tourists who visit Baja fly directly to Los Cabos (SJD). There are international airports located in Tijuana and Mexicali, but US tourists will find it easier to fly to US destinations and drive in.

    Charter bus service in Mexico is superior to that of the United States, with modern, comfortable buses for long-distance travel.

    There are no regularly scheduled trains entering Baja from the USA, but Amtrak has service to San Diego, from there you can easily cross to Tijuana, and take onward buses to elsewhere in the peninsula.
