  2. Puerto Banus is a marina in Marbella, Spain on the Costa del Sol. It was built in 1970 as a luxury marina and shopping complex for the jet-set and super rich. It features a casino, commercial shopping centre, marine observatory and a multi cinema with films shown in their original soundtrack.

    Nightlife buzzes at Puerto Banus with your choice of alfresco bars, piano clubs and discos while during the day this is a window shopper´s dream with several of the world renowned fashions houses featured here, in addition to small, interesting shops and boutiques. Every Saturday morning at Puerto Banus by the bullring is a very popular street market where you can pick up all sorts of bargains.

    Port Location – The Port is located approximately 6km from the town of Marbella.

    Transport Links – Malaga Airport (Aeropuerto Pablo Ruiz Picasso) is serviced by most European carriers otherwise fly in to Gibraltar, both airports are around 30 minutes drive from Marbella centre.

    There are high quality regular bus services along the length of the Costa. Although cheap, the buses can run to their own timetable and are often very busy in summer. Long distance buses run from a terminal on the motorway, about one km up from the beach.

    There is a train service between Fuengirola and Malaga, which due to be extended to run further down the coast to Marbella in the near future.
