  1. Port Overview

  1. Le Lavandou, France

  2. Le Lavandou is one of many Mediterranean fishing villages turned pleasure port, a few kilometres east of Bormes, France. It used to be a small fishing port facing the marvellous Iles d'Or (Golden Islands). Today it is a major international marina and sport fishing port. Divers come for the beauty of the sea bed with its rich marine life and crystal-clear waters.

Le Lavandou has some tempting shops and restaurants and a general Azure atmosphere. From the central promenade of quai Gabriel-Péri the sea is all but invisible thanks to the pleasure boats moored at the three harbours.

The nearby village of Bormes is worth a visit ,as are the famous silver beaches of Cavalière, Pramousquier, Le Canadel and Le Rayol. Col du Canadel is known for its breathtaking views and beautiful cork-oak woodland. In Le Rayol, visit a superb garden, the Domaine de Rayol.
